This block uses a given failure rate at its input port to determine a discrete fault event. It uses the method described by [Bouissou2014]: The current failure rate f is used to determine the probability F that the fault has occurred at a time t: der(F) = (1-F)*f. The value F is then compared to a random threshold r drawn with a uniform distribution between 0 and 1.
