Information

This model calculates the heat conduction in the soil. The soil is modeled as having three layers. The bottom of the soil is assumed to be thermally insulated. Therefore, the model uses three CD elements followed by a flow source of zero flow.

Parameters:

ag: Ground area of Biosphere (default value = 2368.9 m2)

apix: Portion of Biosphere covered by pond (default value = 0.4)

lambda1: Specific thermal conductance of first ground layer (default value = 90 kJ/(h.m2.K))

gamma1: Specific heat capacity of first ground layer (default value = 200 kJ/(m2.K))

lambda2: Specific thermal conductance of second ground layer (default value = 45 kJ/(h.m2.K))

gamma2: Specific heat capacity of second ground layer (default value = 300 kJ/(m2.K))

lambda3: Specific thermal conductance of third ground layer (default value = 22.5 kJ/(h.m2.K))

gamma3: Specific heat capacity of third ground layer (default value = 600 kJ/(m2.K))

T01: Initial temperature of first ground layer (default value = 285 K)

T02: Initial temperature of second ground layer (default value = 286 K)

T03: Initial temperature of third ground layer (default value = 288 K)
