Information

Sensors (detectors) are not among the standard bond graph elements advertized regularly in the bond graph literature. Yet, they are very useful elements indeed, as they enable the modeler to convert bond graph variables to signal variables. This is useful for modeling blocks of block diagrams internally by bond graphs. It is also useful for extracting bond graph variables needed for the modeling of so-called "activated bonds," bond graph elements that are internally modulated by variables extracted elsewhere in the bond graph.

This package contains four types of detectors:

  1. effort detectors (De),
  2. flow detectors (Df),
  3. detectors of generalized momentums (Dp), and
  4. detectors of generalized positions (Dq).
