This is a simple small signal model of a npn transistor according to the following equations:

Simplified (linearized) Shockley-equation

R_on*i_B = if v_BE≤V_th then 0 else (v_BE - V_th)

Ebers-Moll-equation

i_C = β*i_B

For v_CE<v_BE saturation of i_C is taken into account (linearly to 0).

For v_CE>v_BE the slope of i_C is taken into account (Early voltage VY).
