Methoxsalen (also known as 8-methoxypsoralen) is a furocoumarin derivative used primarily in the treatment of psoriasis, vitiligo, and some cutaneous lymphomas as a photosensitizing agent in combination with UVA (PUVA) therapy. It is still approved and used for these indications.
