Aminoglutethimide is a nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitor and adrenal steroidogenesis inhibitor, formerly used to treat hormone-sensitive cancers such as advanced breast cancer and Cushing's syndrome. It is not frequently used in clinical practice today, having been largely replaced by more selective agents.
