Dexamethasone is a synthetic glucocorticoid with potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressant properties. It is used for a variety of indications including treatment of inflammatory conditions, autoimmune disorders, cerebral edema, allergic reactions, and as part of antiemetic regimens during chemotherapy.
