Nepafenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used as an ophthalmic solution to treat pain and inflammation associated with cataract surgery. It is a prodrug rapidly converted to amfenac in ocular tissues and is approved for topical ophthalmic use.
