Nifuratel is a synthetic nitrofuran derivative with antibacterial, antiprotozoal, and antifungal properties. It has been primarily used in the treatment of genital tract infections, such as vaginitis and vulvovaginitis, particularly when caused by mixed infections (Trichomonas vaginalis, Candida spp., and bacterial pathogens).
