Decitabine is a nucleoside analog of cytidine with antineoplastic activity, primarily used in the treatment of myelodysplastic syndromes and acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It functions as a DNA methyltransferase inhibitor, resulting in hypomethylation of DNA and restoring normal gene function in cancer cells.
