.TRANSFORM.Fluid.FittingsAndResistances.TeeJunctionVolume_withResistances

Splitting/joining component with static balances for a dynamic control volume

Information

This model introduces a mixing volume into a junction. This might be useful to examine the non-ideal mixing taking place in a real junction.

Each leg carries a replaceable resistance (resistance_1, resistance_2, resistance_3) between the outer port and the central mixing volume. The slots are constrained by the minimal PartialResistanceInterface (Medium + two ports), so they accept a resistance built on either base class:

This makes it straightforward to build a tee whose three ends are different sizes – e.g. redeclare a leg to a SmoothAdaptor/SharpEdgedAdaptor to transition the junction down to a smaller branch pipe. See the example Examples.TeeJunctionVolume_withResistances.
