This model introduces a mixing volume into a junction. This might be useful to examine the non-ideal mixing taking place in a real junction.
Each leg carries a replaceable resistance
(resistance_1, resistance_2,
resistance_3) between the outer port and the central
mixing volume. The slots are constrained by the minimal
PartialResistanceInterface (Medium + two ports),
so they accept a resistance built on either base class:
PressureLoss, SpecifiedResistance, …),
andSharpEdgedAdaptor, SmoothAdaptor,
Elbow, …).This makes it straightforward to build a tee whose three ends
are different sizes – e.g. redeclare a leg to a
SmoothAdaptor/SharpEdgedAdaptor to
transition the junction down to a smaller branch pipe. See the
