Information

The model is designed to test the component Flow1Dfem (fluid side of a heat exchanger, finite element method).
This model represent the fluid side of a heat exchanger with convective exchange with an external source at a given temperature.
The operating fluid is liquid water.
During the experiment the external (fixed) temperature changes:

• t=20 s, Step variation of the external temperature. Heat exchanger outlet temperature should vary accordingly to the transfer function (K1/(1+s*tau1))*(1-exp(-K2-s*tau2)), where the parameters K1, K2, tau1, tau1 depend on exchanger geometry, the fluid heat transfer coefficient and operating conditions.
