This model demonstrates the use of an ideal expansion tank in a closed circuit. The ideal expansion tank keeps its flange pressure fixed, allowing some flow rate to enter or leave the circuit to balance the fluid thermal expansion

The model represents an idealized heating system. It starts in steady state at ambient temperature, then at time = 10 the heating power is turned on; as a consequence, the fluid gradually heats up to its final steady state value, and during this transient there is a net flow rate entering the expansion tank.
