This test model represents a barometric condenser, where a spray condenser is kept under sub-atmospheric pressure by a vertical pipe discharging to the atmosphere.
The model is started in steady-state, with 0.1 kg/s of steam at 262 degC is condensed by 1 kg/s of cooling water at 23.8 degC, resulting in a condensate flow at 86.8 degC. The level is -0.57 m below the zero reference.
At time = 10, the cooling flow is increased by 10%. As a consequence, the condenser transitions to a lower temperature, corresponding to a level of 1.05 m above the reference, due to the lowered condensation pressure.
