Scope/Calculation function

• Calculation of the change in state quantities and fraction of fluid composition through combustion chamber.
• Chemical reaction of combustion is NOT included.
• Fuel flow rate is read from flow into "port_fuel", NOT directly input to this comonent

Short description of physical model/calculation method

• Fluid of burned fuel and inlet fluid are mixed.
• The heat generated by combustion is injected into fluid flow after mixing of fluid.
• The combustion efficiency, what fraction of fuel is converted to heat (about 0.99 in most of case) can be input via parameter or real input connector.

Limitations/Assumptions of model

• Chemical reaction in NOT included in this component. Therefore, the composition of flue gas must be known at "port_fuel".
• Friction Loss and Rayleigh loss are NOT included.

Parameters

Read the descriptions on parameter window in model for details of each parameter. This section only covers parameters which requires descriptions by figures/drawings.

Usage

• Redeclear the package of medium.
• Fill following connectors:
• fluid ports, _1, _2, and _fuel.
• Decide how to provide Lower Heating Value of Fuel
• Provide by parameter.
1. Leave "use_u_LHV_fuel" unchecked (false).
2. Set value of "LHV_fuel_paramInput".
• Provide by real input connector.
1. Set "use_u_LHV_fuel" checked(true).
2. Fill the connector "u_LHV_fuel."
• Decide how to provide combustion efficiency.
• Provide by parameter.
1. Leave "use_u_effComb" unchecked (false).
2. Set value of "effComb_paramInput".
• Provide by real input connector.
1. Set "use_u_effComb" checked(true).
2. Fill the connector "u_effComb."
