Information

The bondgraphic modulated gyrator is a modulated directed TwoPort element. It inherits the effort and flow variables from the modulated directed TwoPort. The gyration constant is modeled as a real-valued variable.

The bond graph literature is not consistent in the definition of the gyration constant. In this library, the constant is defined as the amplification of flow at the inflow to effort at the outflow. Some other bond graph references define the gyration constant as the amplification of effort at the inflow to flow at the outflow.

The gyrator model has either zero or two causality strokes.


Potential variables:

 e1:  Bondgraphic effort variable of inflow

 f1:  Bondgraphic flow variable of inflow, normalized positive for flows into the model

 e2:  Bondgraphic effort variable of outflow

 f2:  Bondgraphic flow variable of outflow, normalized positive for flows out of the model

 r:   Gyration constant (modulation input signal)
