Spice-style external base-collector capacitance model for bipolar
transistors
The Spice-style external base-collector capacitance computes the
external depletion capacitance value of a bipolar transistor. The
external base-collector capacitance leads invariably to a
higher-index DAE. In order to prevent the Pantelides algorithm from
having to be used constantly and unnecessarily, the higher index
problem was reduced manually. This leads to an implementation,
whereby the external base-collector capacitance is being realized
internally as a modulated current source.
