Hypothesis and equations
This model incorporates a 3 way valve and a water pump to distribute hot water coming from a source (boiler, heat pump,..) in two circuits (heating and domestic hot water, DHW).
The valve has only 2 positions : 100% mass flow rate for heating or 100% mass flow rate for DHW.
Several parameters are available for this model:
Pe_cons_WP (60W by default) :
electric power consumption of water pump;MFR (0.38 kg/s by default) :
nominal mass flow rate;MFR_reduction (0.6 by default) :
percentage of nominal mass flow rate used for modes when water is not heated (i.e. when water pump is running but the heat pump or the boiler are not in operation)MFR_min (1e-3 by default) :
minimal mass flow rate for each circuit (to avoid division by zero downstream the model)
The input "mode" sets either DHW or HEATING and the mass flow rate (NOMINAL or REDUCED):
mode : 1 - HEATING CIRCUIT - COMPRESSOR ON - WP ON NOMINAL MASS FLOW RATE
mode : 2 - DHW CIRCUIT - COMPRESSOR ON - WP ON NOMINAL MASS FLOW RATE
mode : 3 - HEATING CIRCUIT - COMPRESSOR ON + ELECTRIC DHW BACKUP ON - WP ON NOMINAL MASS FLOW RATE
mode : 4 - DHW CIRCUIT - COMPRESSOR OFF + ELECTRIC DHW BACKUP ON - WP OFF NOMINAL MASS FLOW RATE
mode : 5 - HEATING CIRCUIT - COMPRESSOR OFF + ELECTRIC HEATING AND DHW BACKUPS ON - WP ON NOMINAL MASS FLOW RATE
mode : 6 - HEATING CIRCUIT - COMPRESSOR OFF + ELECTRIC DHW BACKUP ON - WP ON NOMINAL MASS FLOW RATE
mode : 7 - HEATING CIRCUIT - COMPRESSOR OFF + ELECTRIC DHW BACKUP OFF - WP ON REDUCED MASS FLOW RATE
mode : 8 - DHW CIRCUIT - COMPRESSOR OFF + ELECTRIC BACKUP OFF - WP ON REDUCED MASS FLOW RATE
mode : 9 - ALL System OFF
