Continuous-Discrete Block
Continuous-discrete blocks have a real-type input port, connectable to the output ports of components in the Modelica/Blocks package, and a discrete DEVS output port, connectable to DEVS input ports.
Due to the different types of their input/output ports, the continuous-discrete blocks are used to connect non-DEVS blocks to DEVS blocks (SamplerLevel and SamplerTime)

The CDBlockSpecial is a partial model similar to the CDBlock, but with an additional input port -- it is only used for the SamplerTrigger block (see Section \ref{sec:samplerTrigger}).
