Below are some terms used in QCalc. All of the terms have the usual definitions except for specific. The term lambda unit is new.

'massic' | adjective that indicates the quotient of the following quantity and its associated mass [× M-1] |
'quantity' | "property of a phenomenon, body, or substance, where the property has a magnitude that can be expressed as a number and a reference" [JCGM2012] |
'scalar unit' | a reference quantity that is used via multiplication to map a number to another quantity |
'specific' | adjective that indicates the quotient of the following quantity and its associated amount of substance [× N-1] |
'unit' | an entity that is used to map a number to a quantity and vice versa |
'volumic' | adjective that indicates the quotient of the following quantity and its associated volume [× L-3] |
