Calculation of solar irradiation for a simplified building model

Hypothesis and equations

This model allows the calculation of solar boundary conditions for the simplified building model. The simplified model has only 3 short wavelength inputs (SW):

• SW irradiance transmitted through glazings. It takes into account the beam incidence on the surface
• SW incident irradiance on glazings
• SW incident irradiance on external walls

The impact of beam incidence on the surface for the direct irradiance is taken into account through the parameters Choix and the model DirectTrans.
